Request permission from publisher for 'used books'!
We have been used book sellers on Amazon for roughly 20 years. Suddenly we need to get permission from publishers along with receipts showing we bought numerous copies of one title. This is lunacy and clearly a move by big business to make used copies less available from small businesses. I am sure they give a big discount to Amazon for cooperating. Its such a shame. Amazon started out being an umbrella for small business. That's what was so neat about it in the beginning. I could buy a book from a small seller or even just an individual and converse with them about the history of the book, etc. It was great! Selling today is nothing like what it used to be and I am so sad because I am not just a book seller, I'm also a bibliophile who loves everything about what I do. I fear the joy of it is lost in the Amazon.

Hi there @Seller_013og3kC1fuC8,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sorry you haven't been able to provide the requested documentation for approval. In general Amazon implements these restrictions to product buyers and rights owners from inauthentic products. I can certainly take your feedback and concerns to our internal team, but these processes are a change that is in some way required to ensure the authenticity and source of products. Thank you for your understanding.
