about UKCA
Dear Amazon Support Team,
We appreciate all the hard work you do for sellers and thank you for your continued support.
We would like to inquire about the timeline for the UKCA marking. We have heard that the UKCA marking will soon become mandatory for all products, regardless of whether they currently carry the CE marking or not. Our understanding is that if we do not switch to UKCA within the specified timeframe, we will not be able to sell our products in the UK.
Could you please confirm when the UKCA marking will officially take effect? Is it true that all products must have the UKCA marking in order to be sold on Amazon UK?
Additionally, for products related to phone accessories (that do not contain electronics or batteries), how should we prepare for UKCA compliance? Will these products require technical documentation, test reports, and a Declaration of Conformity, similar to the requirements under the GPSR for products sold on Amazon EU? There doesn’t seem to be clear guidance regarding UKCA preparation for non-electronic items, such as those that currently require CE marking.
Furthermore, do we need to use a Responsible Person (RP) service by including RP information on the products and product detail pages on Amazon UK, along with essential warnings and safety information?
While we have reviewed the UKCA information provided on the Amazon UK Seller Central page, we couldn’t find practical guidance on how sellers should prepare for UKCA compliance.
This situation could create significant challenges for sellers like us who are preparing to launch new products on Amazon UK. We hope you understand our position and will work with us to find a solution.
Thank you for your time and support. We look forward to your guidance.

My understanding is the UK government gave up on making UKCA mandatory.
Essentially, the CE mark is still acceptable and the UK government hasn't advised otherwise.
For responsible persons, your talking there about GPSR. As it stands, Amazon state that if you sell on Amazon UK, you don't need to provide any information (this apparently is still the case even if you sell to Northern Ireland or even allow purchases from EU countries from Amazon UK.
