Cant log in OTP

Hello.

It appears we can no longer sign into our Amazon account (on the other PC) because the One Time Passcode verification is encountering an error?

This happened before, which usually fixes after a day or so.

Basically, once logged off, entering the email username and password, amazon usually texts a OTP code. However this is no longer happening? When requesting another code 5 minutes later we are faced with the message "Please wait at least one minute before requesting another OTP". However everytime we choose the "Text me on my number ***", we have the same error message ""Please wait at least one minute before requesting another OTP!.

Surely Amazon should be aware of this issue?

Yes I have the same issue ... its a nightmare. Round in circles all day! I cannot contact seller support as I cannot login!

Please admin can you help? I can't ship my orders today as I use amazons 'Buy Shipping' ... I was forced to do this because of your own VTR metric! In the old days I could just use click and drop.

Yes, we have experienced exactly the same issues today. We were logged in but then could not log back in for 7 hours. Managed to despatch our orders in time but so stressful. We have tried logging in on different PC's, cleared cache and cookies and tried logging in at a different location and still no joy.

Today I have managed to get in by using our landline phone OTP option, but it will not use the other options.

Luckily we use Selro, so can view any orders that come through, but would not be able to disburse the account balance without getting full access.

I had this at the weekend - unable to sign in due to OTP issues. I ended up changing my password to a totally new one (not recycling my old one!) which successfully forced OTP being sent to my phone to verify password changeand then allowed me to sign in.

I tried to disable 2 factor verification in login settings but wasn't able to - so I enabled the new 'authenticator app' (I used the google app but others are available) and have since used this to sign in with as this has given an alternative OTP option when signing in.

I still can't get OTP to send to mobile but have been able to sign in using the authenticator app successfully every time.

Hope this is helpful to anyone losing sleep over this like I did.

I have encountered this issue before. Seller support provided some suggestions. The issue was resolved the next day but to avoid this in future I switched to using an authenticator app over OTP.

Here are some things that you can do to troubleshoot:

• Ensure the number you have entered is correct, and has the correct country code selected.

• Contact your carrier to ask if there are any restrictions preventing you from receiving the authentication codes, and whether they can be removed.

• Send an authentication code by voice call to the same number or a different number that you have access to (for example, a landline or a friend or family member's phone).

• Use an authenticator app to receive your authentication code. Authenticator apps are available for use on mobile devices, PCs and browsers.

Firstly, I too cannot get into my account by way of getting an OTP on 2 out of the 3 methods I have previously designated (ie I am getting the posted error message).

Secondly I tried to get into settings, login, and this threw me out and then I couldn't get an OTP by ANY of the 3 methods. I did get back in (obviously) by navigating back!

Thirdly this reply box is way too thin! It only accepts about a third of a sentence before needing a new line!

Fell very annoyed about all this especially as I don't have good mobile reception and the landline option now goes to error message. I need to keep on top of orders daily as per Amazon requirements.

I had the same issue, was logged in on one laptop and my phone but couldn't get in on my other laptop.

Strangely if I tethered my phone internet to my laptop and tried, it let me in as normal!

Its a pain I know. Last time it happened to me I had to request they remove 2fa from the account then I registered the google authenticator app instead of the code text to me. So far, fingers crossed, the authenticator app always works even when I get the dreaded "Wait 1 minute" message.
