Grossly overcharged FBA fees for incorrect measurements and now overage on storage fees
Attention dear Moderators:
@Julia_Amazon @Jessica @Winston_Amazon
Could you kindly request a remeasurement of asin B0B9RBGSXT. They have incorrectly measured this product and added extra dimensions to this packaging.
YOUR MEASUREMENTS:
- Length: 41.91 cm
- Width: 28.8 cm
- Height: 7.29 cm
- Weight: 0.08 kg
ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS:
- Length: 34 cm
- Width: 24 cm
- Height: 1 cm
- Weight: 0.08 kg
This has now also led to the over-calculation of my standard inventory size. Currently, it shows 135.58 cubic feet when it should be 12.535 on the CORRECT measurements, putting me over the 100 cubic ft standard size limit. So you have been overcharging me with higher FBA fees, but now storage overage fees due to this gross miscalculation.
I have submitted countless remeasurement requests but continually get the message “We are unable to process additional re-measurements for FNSKU: B0B9RBGSXT, at this time, as we have already completed two re-measurements within the last 60 days. If necessary, you can re-submit this request later.”
It says I have 20/20 re-measurement requests left.
I have images attached below showing the measurements of the packaged product ultimately proving it is not physically possible for you to have the measurements you are overcharging me with. Thank you

The measurements of the product on the asin match what amazon are saying
The one you are measuring - and presumably how thet are all packaged , are vacuum packed to make it much smaller
Are you sure the ones at the warehouse have all been sealed properly and not come ‘undone’
Did you check your shipment yourself first ?

The problem is with your packaging in my opinion
They put these items into a laser machine that measures the highest point of your product, so if a corner on the excess of that bag folds over, then it will measure that as the “thickness”
I don’t think FBA is the place for vacuum sealed things to be honest, you would be better putting them in a smaller bag that more suits their size and don’t need vacuum sealed.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the machine measures from a corner, and they are putting in at a slight angle, meaning it appears to be longer than it actually is (because they’re almost measuring the diagonal measurements rather than the horizontal/vertical.
However you will always have problems with the height while you use that bag, and that is the one that is way out
I’ve never been able to get a remeasurement done before the 60 days is up when they get fed up and send that message, I’ve also never had a refund on overcharged storage fees, only fba fees
If it was me, I’d be changing my packaging and moving it over to SnL

Ask them for photos showing the measurements they state, they will do that with enough pushing.

You will keep going round in circles. The only option you have is to change the packing and remove anything that is flexible that can bend if handled a certain way. When they measure they won’t flatten any plastic packing. As mentioned already, the laser will measure the widest and tallest point (whatever that is).
I’ve been doing FBA for over 10 years and unless you change your packing, you will be wasting your time
Maybe best to put this into a box.

I’ve had this on three listings with non-uniform items. Whatever they use to measure anything which is not cuboid just completely mis-measures (conveniently always ridiculously over the actual measurements). I emailed MD and it was resolved. All products measured correctly. You will not get anywhere with SS or moderators here.

Why aren’t you taping up the vacuum bag to make the measurements even smaller? There seems a lot of excess plastic. Can’t you use (or get your supplier to use) a smaller vacuum bag?
Also you could try taping up the vacuum to fit the product.
In any case it seems like Amazon have removed the product from the vacuum bag then measured it.

Prepare carefully a written letter sent to any physical address you can find for head office UK. Include with it all photo’s and measurements, include the message you have from them saying they refuse to give you photos.
Assert your position with respect to dimensions and weight, include your evidence for this assertion and that they are not being reasonable in not giving evidence for their measurements.
Itemise your losses to date a result of this and then indicate that you consider the measurements they hold to be incorrect based on your evidence and that you do not consider it reasonable behaviour to withhold the evidence for their measurements.
Then give them 14 days to reply and if their measurements cannot be justified with evidence and they refuse to agree with yours that you will take the claim to small claims.
Acknowledge that they may have a justifiable reason for their measurements, but also that they should reasonably provide evidence for this.
It is absolutely ridiculous that matters like this cannot be resolved properly through CS.

Check the size and weight of your case and inner pack size, then check your inventory against what you have sent into FBA
I would wager they have checked in a case or inner bulk pack as 1 unit and relabelled it
This has happened before, only found out when a customer left feedback that he had received a box of 200 units instead of 1 pack of 5 units and thought it was great value

I would really like your help. I need this product remeasured urgently, SS refuse to do it even though I keep telling them that I’m doing it out of Amazon measuring incorrectly…
They keep responding that I’ve already used up my remeasurements requests in this 60 day period. How is it fair that I have no recourse when they fail to measure it properly and overcharge me with FBA fees and excess storage? I’m at the mercy of these fees and without any recourse based on Amazon’s error…
