Removal order contains an error. Please try again. The field Address has an invalid value

#21

I tried to create a removal by uploading the “Removal Order File”, and it didn’t work. Surprise Surprise. Same sort of error code - “Invalid label “AddressFieldOne””

I even tried changing the country code for the shipping address to XI, then to NI, and even to IE, but no luck there.

I’m fairly certain it is blocking removal orders based on the “BT” postcode.

I’ve re-opened the case…again.

#22

Good effort! I still haven’t heard anything back in my case.

#23

hi. i still have same problem. All ways what they offere not working. It same looks like Amazon Bloking BT postcodes

#24

I haven’t had another response yet. Hopefully, they are actually looking at the problem.

#25

I had this about an hour ago as an update
“Greetings,
Thank you for your continued patience. We are currently researching your issue in partnership with the responsible team and will provide an update as soon as any additional information becomes available.”

Feeling a bit more hopeful as they have actually seen there is an issue and not just given an automated response!

#26

After opening a case with amazon and going back and forth this is the response I got.

''I understand your concern regarding creating a removal order with Northern Ireland addresses.

I reviewed your case, and I’ve to inform you that following the end of the Brexit transition period, B2B shipments greater than £135 moving between Great Britain and Northern Ireland now require customs declarations. As a result, we are no longer able to fulfil removal orders for FBA inventory to addresses based in Northern Ireland.

As we are no longer able to process removal orders to Northern Ireland addresses, in order to have your inventory returned, you will need to:

  1. Create a removal order with a fulfilment address in Great Britain for us to send the inventory to, and
Arrange for a carrier to collect and return the items back to you from that location.’’

I’ve explained multiple times that NI is apart of the UK but If this is true it’s going to cause alot of headaches and extra cost going forward.

#27

Are your items actually worth over £135? Mine aren’t but this may be the line they will take.
So the choices are: destroy or send to a friend in GB. Annoying.

#28

Yes they are, I’m looking to return 200 units atleast to add a new product because of amazons new restock limits which is a joke aswell. Not only are you going to pay £0.60 removal fee per unit but also you are going to have to pay a carrier to ship to NI, I’m not even sure on how this would work because the way FBA works is that amazon splits up the shipments across England to as many fulfilment centres as possible so it could take dozens of shipments before you truly receive all your stock back before you could get it shipped over to NI. There’s no way they can keep this rule in place but I wouldn’t be surprised either way.

Not a pleasant message from a Chinese seller
#29

Indeed. Insane and unfair. I still don’t have an answer back. Hopefully mine is different as can happen sometimes!

#30

Just come across this issue today too, we are also in Northern Ireland, auto-removals has been working, we had a few things returned recently, but doing a manual return to bring back something that isn’t selling, i’m getting the same ‘The field Address has an invalid value’ error.
We’ve already come across the issue of Northern Ireland getting treated differently when trying to send stock to europe using the partnered carrier programme, we’re no longer eligible for it, now if they are going to do this to us too, lost for words…

#31

Blame your politicians for not wanting a “hard” border between NI and the Republic

#32

Hey guys now that the problem has been identified. Would anyone be able to come up with a solution, in terms of a courier or service that Amazon can ship to in GB to then have forwarded on to in N Ireland? Ideally something cost effective like.

#33

I’d love to know where they get the ‘goods over £135 require a customs declaration’ from, the whole point of northern ireland protocol is so there is no customs between the 2

#34

I’ve talked to our UPS account manager and they have confirmed that no customs forms are needed regardless of cost, atleast until October 1st, the new grace period. Both came to the same conclusion that Amazon will treat us differently, made a point that if they change their system now to suit NI, they may have to change it all again come October so why waste their money. Luckily we can ship it to someone in UK and have it picked up from there for now

Hi All,
Been having the same issue. At the moment Amz support does not give much definitive explanation of why I can not create manual removal order to BT postcode. The latest is following:
_Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support, _
I understand your concern regarding error when creating removal order.
_Please note that you can remove the units by creating a removal for stock via flat file. _
_The reason why the postcode is not considered valid by Amazon is that the seller is selecting GB (Great Britain) as country. The difference between UK and GB is that GB does not include Northern Ireland. _
Please note that we cannot ship the removal orders to Northern Ireland.
You need to create removal order for the local address in UK.

I have requested to clarify the date of this change, what notifications AMZ have provided and what are exact details of this change. I understand that this is something to do with NI protocol but imp limitation of it is a bit upside-down.

#37

Hi Please advise if you have any further progress with issue as we are struggling to get items return to NI also. Its a matter of long term storage for items stranded and cannot simply sell or just bin as cant get them back. Seems very unfair for NI traders?

Any help greatly appreciated.

#38

Yes I got the same response and went back a couple of time with various complaints but this it is fairly hopeless at this point! I’m gonna have to send stuff to a friend in England and sort out from there. V frustrating though.

Hi, Well news are not good as far as I can see:

Dear Selling Partner,

Following the end of the Brexit transition period, B2B shipments greater than £135 moving between Great Britain and Northern Ireland now require customs declarations. As a result, we are no longer able to fulfil removal orders for FBA inventory to addresses based in Northern Ireland.

This includes removal orders placed before the date of this email, Wednesday 31st March 2021.

If you have created a removal order for FBA inventory before the above date, this order will be cancelled and the units will be returned to your inventory, where you can continue to sell-through your items. We sincerely apologise for this and will be in touch shortly with information regarding a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience.

For all Selling Partners based in Northern Ireland, we will also be waiving Long Term Storage Fees for the next three months.

As we are no longer able to process removal orders to Northern Ireland addresses, in order to have your inventory returned, you will need to:

  1. Create a removal order with a fulfilment address in Great Britain for us to send the inventory to and
  2. Arrange for a carrier to collect and return the items back to you from that location.

Although you will continue to be able to technically create removal orders for Northern Ireland addresses in Seller Central, we kindly ask that you do not do this. Any removal orders with Northern Ireland addresses will be automatically cancelled and units will be returned to your inventory.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for selling on Amazon.

Basically I was advised to find 3rd party provider for inventory to be shipped there and then forwarded back to the NI. Estimated cost of such would be quite substantial, and honestly not worthy. Still checking Prep Centers but cost at least £1-£1.60 per 1 returned item with monthly subscription+ all the shipment costs (I am not saying this is for all, just in my case of few enquiries I have made:)). At the moment trying to see if I can donate to the charity and substract costs from my taxes, but surely its a pain, and not straight forward process (charities only accept certain staff and will be evaluating each donation enquiry). Still trying to find more info. Very frustrating.

I was in the removals page for one last attempt, not sure why given everything and have just noticed “Grade and Resell”, https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/GUA6RV6UA4DR2MFK
I think it is my cheapest option for returns or customer damaged goods. Has anyone tried this?
