Valid tracking
Valid tracking rate rates dropped to zero.
We use inhouse franking.
We choose =
Royal Mail from drop down box - then Stamps Franking.
This is as instructed by Amazon but now our rate has dropped to zero.
We have been using this system for 10 years +
Why has this happened?

This is why it’s happened. You can no longer select this method of dispatch without it impacting VTR. Policy changes in May and was announced in March.
You either need some form of tracking (even Royal Mail 48 proof of delivery is OK or if buying untracked (ie Royal Mai letter) you need to use amazon buy shipping

There was a policy change from Amazon starting on March 31st. Stamps/Franking is no longer valid.
All postage must now contain a valid tracking or delivery confirmation id uploaded to Amazon on shipping confirmation. If you buy shipping which doesn’t have a valid tracking or delivery confirmation id such as Letter postage you have to use Amazon buy shipping.
You can no longer use your franking machine for Amazon as it is no longer valid for VTR.
It was notified to all sellers via email and in the news section of Amazon but a number of sellers appear to have missed this.

Thank you. I wasnt aware of the change.
I have just used the Buy Postage Feature and ot doesnt matter what dimensions I put in for the package it keeps coming back as incorrect size for Royal Mail Large 2nd Class.
Even if Iuse Royal Mail sizes.

Hi.
Thank you for all the support but the saga goes on.
I have successfully managed to find and print a 2nd class large label for despatching our goods but it states in big print this does not include tracking on this item.
Am I back to square 1 again???

How can you send a £5 item wth Tracking and make a profit??
How do you other sellers manage it??
Thank you

How come you missed all the emails and notifications about the new changes to policy ? - first announced earlier in the year and started March.
It does NOT mean you have to send everything tracked. If you use 'Buy Shipping then ALL your shipments will be validated for VTR and eventually you will have a VTR of either 100% or N/A - both of which are fine.
If you choose to use another carrier or buy from PO then you need to input the ref number from the proof of posting receipt (without spaces and hyphens).

Another important point to mention is that if you want to build your VTR percentage back up, you will have to use tracked methods, for a while at least. Until the orders you’ve posted using stamps/franking drop off the relevant period, that is.
Untracked Buy Shipping is always valid but using it won’t increase your VTR score as it counts as ‘N/A’. It simply doesn’t affect it, either negatively or positively.
Has Amazon closed your ability to sell in affected categories?
Or have you just received a warning?

having experimented with my vtr rate and choosing many different combinations i can let you know that choosing ‘self-delivery’ and then ‘self-delivery’ makes your orders exempt for vtr the same as stamps/franking would and eventually (2 + months from now) you will be back to n/a
also tried someones advice on whistle and only managed (somehow) to get one accepted when despaching) but that also has been exempt and not shown on the report.
to get 100% you need to send one per month via a tracked method and use the above for the rest.
… waiting to be shouted down by the righteous now for mentioning ‘self-delivery’

Help! I need to build my VTR up. Which over the counter Post Office rates will help me to do this?
Seller_qI3WZd3b16gTH
I now have a 100% VTR after years of 80%-90%. I now use RM48 Tracked.
I realised I had to move on from the old Royal Mail system and took the gamble to increase prices to cover the extra costs.
My Sales have increased by 50%, losses are now non existence.
For all those who moan about VTR move on increase your prices and in turn your profits will increase.
