Am I allowed to list GE branded appliances and parts?

I am able to list GE appliances and parts through my Amazon account. But I am nervous that GE only allows certain sellers to list their brand. Both the GE appliances and parts I have good sourcing for but it is not directly from GE. So I am wondering if there are any restrictions to list GE parts and GE appliances that anyone is aware of. Let me know. Thanks!

Watch the Seller University video, "Sourcing Guidelines," and evaluate whether your supply chain meets Amazon's requirements for selling items from an established, multibillion-dollar global brand.

Don't do FBA until you are absolutely sure you are allowed to sell your items. If Amazon does not like your chain of custody, the will declare your items counterfeit (even if they are genuine GE parts) and confiscate them with no recourse.

"Both the GE appliances and parts I have good sourcing for but it is not directly from GE."

Forget about the sourcing. Do you have an LOA from GE saying that you are authorized to sell their products?

@Seller_LVZcgxAgZ2xBv and @Seller_MyXY4Myx9zVcR have given good guidance. Selling things you 'might' have good sourcing for and doing it FBA can be extremely expensive lessons in what NOT to do.

Good Evening @Seller_YIQLpyKEEdvju, it looks like you were able to get some support from other folks here on the forums about selling GE products.

If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.

I did want to provide the link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements (which I believe @Seller_LVZcgxAgZ2xBv also shared too) . Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:

Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured

These documents:

  • Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
  • Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
  • Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

As @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp alluded to, a letter of authorization can also be a valuable addition to your selling application if you are sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.

Additionally, I wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.

Lastly, if you have a relationship with the brand, you can to be added to their list of approved sellers through Brand Registry. Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.

Please let us know if you require any additional assistance or you may reach out to Selling Partner Support at anytime.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
