I tried to apply for VAT exemption on Alibaba, because I want to buy things there for my business purposes. I tried to write down my VAT identification number there, but it is not working. Do I need to become the payer of VAT in my country? I want to sell from Europe to USA and buy goods in China. But anyway, If I become VAT payer in my country, I can cut off VAT only if I am selling in my country. I hoped that VAT exemption on Alibaba will be ok, because I am just a reseller and not a end user. Thanks for help.
