No street address
sixth time this holiday seasons where we had a buyer email us about a missing package that had a missing street address. At least the sixth got delivered.
I understand USPS use to manually try to find the street address but no longe. There is a standard way that USPS recommends listing both a street address and a PO Box so that it goes to the PO Box and other delivery services have the street address. I don’t understand why Amazon does not check whether a valid shipping address is to be used for all shipping services is approved at point of purchase.
We rarely use anything but USPS we sell small and light products where USPS is the lowest prices when we remove the UPS penny reductions off the USPS prices. We have spent way too much labor on chasing UPS over charges that are invalid. Apparently our packages tend to end up on top of other packages when scanned for size. Imagine being charged for a 7.5 box when in reality it is 9” X 12” 6”. Three calls to finally get it resolved. No thanks. I do not understand why Amazon allows UPS to price shadow USPS instead of negotiating meaningful low prices. also do not understand why they do not address these surcharges in negotiations with the shippers.
