When listing a product with a GS1 approved UPC, Amazon is looking to establish a relationship between the product, the upc, and the brand. Best case you should ensure that the detail page information you use to list the product matches the information on GS1 so it is identified as valid. If you run into trouble you can provide information that verifies your relationship to your business and Brand to request approval to list with those GS1 upcs.
