Listing Taken Down Over Customer Complaint of No Exp Date
A customer contacted me about my product and said it was "spoiled" and that it didn't have an expiration date. I explained that every package as a best by date directly on the label. And that there was no possible way it had expired since we had made a new batch of that popcorn 2 days before it shipped. The best by dates are 6 months. I went ahead and refunded. The customer then leaves a review saying there was no expiration date. but they show zero proof
Its odd because the first email Amazon sent said they would not take the listing down but to be aware. Then a day later I get a new email saying they took it down and I can appeal.
In the initial appeal I put a picture of the label that shows the best by date. Now Amazon wants more info. I have no other info to give? This is one of my top selling listings so its a big deal for my business. I have been sellling this flavor for 8 years with no complaints about exp dates.
I wonder if I should just hit the button that says I wont do it again. Even though I never did it in the first place. We are inspected by the state and would never sell food items withtout a best by date.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Edited to add: I just got this
Issue Summary:
"Consider removing or disposing of any expired inventory in fulfilment centers. Before sending any more inventory to the fulfilment center, check the expiration dates and ensure it is not expired or soon to expire."
This item is fufilled by me not Amazon. We stopped doing FBA years ago. And again the customer claimed there was NO expiration date. Not that it was expired. But neither are true.
