Do I need a Flat file for my first product?

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 questions -

I am currently in the process of getting my product ready to sell on Amazon. I have everything set up, besides my A+ content. I've noticed my backend keywords for my images aren't indexed. I tried filing a case log; however, they aren't helpful. So, what I chose to do was to resubmit another draft (with the backend keywords) to see if it will go through. Not sure if that will work, but if someone knows a way to index backend keywords on A+ content, please respond to me!

The second question is with Amazon Seller Support; they keep telling me to file a flat file. However, I only have one product. Doing some research on the web, people say, "flat files are extremely helpful when selling multiple products." So, I'm not sure if a flat file is required for selling one product. Can someone provide information on this?

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Seller_O1nbeFdEGbOOU

Have you tried using a flat file despite the fact that it is only one product? Different product types can require different mechanisms to achieve the listing goal. However, as you noted in your opening post, the most common reason to use the flat file tool is to expedite adding listings to your inventory.
