Linked account question
I've had my amazon seller account since 2013. Last year I helped a friend set up his account but I didn't use any of my own information, I just helped him because I've been in the business for a long time.
He has been running his business since (I have no envolvement) but now he is telling me that our accounts are somehow linked and that I need to give him access to my account to make sure his account is safe in case I violate a policy. Is there a way to check if accounts are linked? Now I am scared that my account is linked to his somehow and my performance might suffer
Thanks

Hmmm....if the accounts are linked, then the friend would have gotten an email from Amazon. Ask to see the email (since you haven't gotten one).
When you helped the friend set up the account was it done on your computer?

Hello @Seller_kyK9hcIF9Ux7o,
Thank you for posting your concerns with your account.
I've had my amazon seller account since 2013. Last year I helped a friend set up his account but I didn't use any of my own information, I just helped him because I've been in the business for a long time.

I 100% agree with @Seller_z3XfkorVSmnEY, I would never recommend giving any account access or information to another seller on amazon even if they were my friend. This access will create an established connection that I cant even confirm with the information provided exists.
When there is a concern of a multiple account policy, you will have no visibility into our reviews or what information is connected between the two stores. If your account is active, your store cannot cause a violation of our multiple selling accounts policy. This policy is triggered when you're associated to a deactivated account that is not currently allowed to sell on amazon.
I would recommend reviewing our seller university video on how to comply with our multiple account policy, this will help ensure that you're not associated to another store.
If you experience a situation where there is a multiple account policy violation, both stores will be deactivated. We will require proof that you do not own or operate this other store, including documentation that confirms the separation of both stores. We will commonly request contracts and termination agreements, we may also require proof of payment for contracts, we can also accept documents such as bill of sale, transfer of ownership. If these documents do not exist or contain enough supporting information to verify why the account was associated, we will require the associated store to first be reinstated.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Emet.
