Requesting Product Reviews From Buyers - Significantly Less Ratings Since Email Template Has Changed
We have noticed that since early September when Amazon changed the buyer review request email template to feature the "seller review" at the top instead of the "product review" at the top of the email it has almost made product ratings non-existant. In the old email template the buyer could simply click on the star rating to leave a product rating.
This has caused far less product ratings on the actual product page and a huge increase of product related reviews on the seller feedback rating page.
Are there any plans to change this back? Most customers only leave reviews if they have a negative experience which means that new product launches will have a lower rating than previous products because older products will have more positive product ratings. We believe that having the ratings is more reflective of actual buyer experience.
