What is going on with the system??? UPC issue that I can't fix

I made a small mistake uploading my skus with the wrong UPC and normally the system would tell you that it is an error but instead it let the UPC's change and it also changed the EAN as well when I tried to fix the issue by putting the correct UPC's. I have a case open with no resolution yet. This has affected me sending FBA stock. And someone said that we can't change the skus now but I don't think that came from the internal team.

so if the first time upload somehow updated all your UPC, why not do another second upload with the correct barcodes? if first time worked, no reason second time wouldn't.
