That will finish it for me...

"Your account has a gap of two days or more between your set handling time and your actual handling time. You can choose to close this gap by manually setting an accurate handling time on your account and SKUs or by enabling automated handling time.
On September 25, 2024, your handling time gap will be measured, and if it remains above two days as per our policy for on-time delivery, you will be auto-enrolled into having automated handling time enabled and will no longer be able to disable automated handling time. "
So this is the second time I will be punished for delighting buyers with early delivery by being forced to make promises I can't always keep, disappointing buyers, getting negative feedback and other issues because instead of early, items are delivered late (USPS is good about that lately)
I will delete every SKU they force this on and close out if it affects too many. of course first I will have a few late shipments as I don't care what they tell me, i KNOW what days I can ship or not. So it's my fault that some buyers purchase on a shipping day and it goes out that same day, while others purchase 3 hours later and it CAN'T go out until 3 days later?
I am so tired of everything here.....

@SEAmod , This is an Issue.. We are in a small rural area and USPS has just Added 4 days to all rural mail routes in Our State (oregon).. they have removed all local sorting hubs.. and USPS will no longer deliver anything on Saturdays /(nationwide) except Priority mail.. You are attempting to destroy the rest of us by forcing unreal Handling and Shipping times upon us..
Please do not mess with our Handling Times as this will just make all Amazon customers very unhappy. USPS has made sever changes to the Delivery system in the USA and you should already know this..
Extra 4 days for all Mail delivery now is standard for all address in the USA and No more Saturday deliveries except Priority mail ..
Amazon making changes to our Preset handling times should not happen and shoudl not be allowed..
WE work for ourselves, not Amazon!. @SEAmod Please do not let them do this.

And this is why I have a significant number of orders that came in over the weekend, that I could easily have shipped today, but am holding off until Tuesday so that I can keep that "gap" lower than 2.
Yes, Amazon policy is FORCING us to give worse customer service.

This. All those newbies getting "approved" in Nike, Adidas, Funkopop and many, many more: they create or jump on listings, they send in inventory and Amazon confiscates and destroys their items. Just one example, but that can ruin the enthousiasm and joy of young people.

Brigitte----Those newbies should start small, get experience and definitely ship FBM. Stay out of Amazon's clutches and warehouses. Leave the warehouse to the Very Big Boys and save yourself loads of grief.
Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC
You are right, but those newbies don't know that in the beginning! They watch TikTok and Youtube and believe what they hear.
Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI
And maybe one could judge them for that and chalk it up to "lesson learned", but Amazon is supporting these mistakes, even inviting them. Constantly reported:
1. I didn't sign up for a professional account and Amazon took my money without me knowing
2. Amazon approved me to sell XXXXX and now they suspended my account
3. Amazon help files say "Invoices and receipts" but now they wont accept my receipts
That's just the newbies problems....
For the rest of us, Amazon is trying to force us to use FBA and Amazon Buy shipping. They force price, handling time, returns, customer service, everything. Amazon wants to control your business, use your business and your workforce, to make money for them. You don't run your business here, don't fool yourself. You are running "a business" for Amazon shareholders........

Sadly you are right. We all live in a latent fear of seeing our account suspended and left with a ton of inventory. But we stay - because we DO sell daily and we DO earn a comfortable income.

You missed the "Amazon ungated me based on these receipts, but now won't accept them when I've been deactivated".
How is a newbie supposed to know (without spending months here) that when Amazon tells you "Yes, these docs are good enough for you to sell brand X" that they really aren't?
I like to paraphrase a teacher I had in college:
"Most sites let you shoot yourself in the foot. Amazon will load the gun and hand it to you"
Seller_TvaTXH61RRGLO
I do not understand why they do not make it transparent from the beginning so all these kids will not lose their money from maxed credit cards. They can ask for invoices before sending the items. Why not? They are verified by robots most of the time anyway.
Seller_TvaTXH61RRGLO
They never give up, aren't they? They will eventually penalize the account for early delivery...Why not? They have the outrageous "low stock" fines. It is going into absurd.
Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI
But it's all about profit. If they ran an honest, fair selling site, they couldn't line their pockets with our work and struggles. Educating new sellers isn't going to put money from their failed ventures into their pockets. 0 morals, money is all that matters. (Just saw Brigitte already said this much...)
Seller_FwpA1naSVnywt
Very bad policy.
At least they say they will not de-activate over late shipments re items that get entrapped by this monstrous policy.
Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI
LOL, yeah....right.......
Seller_LFkcBs5YkkhhM
Too many Amazon employees sitting around with nothing to do except to dream up outrageous, monstrous, hurtful, and idiotic policies that antagonize and torment long time sellers. Ideas are then passed up the Amazon food chain until they arrive at the desks of prime candidates for induction into the "Peter Principle" hall of fame.
