Unfair A-to-Z Claim Resolution - Buyer Received Full Refund even though item was delivered on time

Order # 114-7027548-3197050

Buyer opened an A to Z claim on April 12th saying item not received and A to Z claim dept has given a FULL refund for the order without even giving me a chance to respond.

I appealed the decision yesterday, that is 04/14/25 . Claims dept accepted my appeal and about 12 hours ago, I got a response from Claims dept that they will reverse the funds back to my account.

BUT I have got another email from the claims dept a few minutes ago, saying my account has been debited for this claim again ..?!

Is this a glitch by A to Z claims dept..?

Joey_Amazon, Please help me

It doesn't matter if it was delivered or not; what matters is if you bought your shipping on Amazon and the carrier picked it up on her before the Amazon ship-by date. Did you do these things?

What reason or reasons did Amazon give for rejecting your claim?

@Joey_Amazon

Can you help?

This notice doesn't mean they debited you twice. The original decision was to refund the buyer and count the claim against you. After your appeal , they decided to reverse that original decision. However they are not going to reverse the refund. Since you did not use Amazon Shipping and vouched for a third party LTL, you will not be refunded the cost of the reimbursement. However the ODR will not count against you.

In these cases if the item is worth a lot you can have to go after the buyer yourself. Gather the order information, customer information, POD from the LTL company , a written letter confirming delivery, go to the customers state and county and file a small claims case. Include the price of a ticket to arrive, the price of the item, the cost of your time to go there all of that.

Pay to have them served. Include that in your cost. Break each item down no pain and suffering add on non sense make it really clear for the judge.

Then send them a letter separately. Informing them they will be served and your intent to file lawsuit. Let them know you have proof of delivery and you also intend to file a WRIT after judgement to have their paycheck garnished.

Then tell them if they would like to contact you privately to avoid the lawsuit they can. Give them information to contact.

You can use PayPal or something like that to bill them but you need to bill the original cost of shipping, the cost to file and serve the lawsuit for the item and have them sign a letter stating they did receive the item and they do not intend to back charge or contest the charges and agree to pay the amount I mentioned. Then you process it and give them a receipt.

If they back charge or dispute that agreement now you sue them twice. Once for the original order and a second time for breech of contract all in small claims. You get a writ for both. If they don't show up you easily win and can garnish their checks until you are paid. If they don't respond to the garnish you can petition the court in 6 months to auto garnish from their check where the court will contact their employer directly and have them remove funds for you until the debt is settled.

Amazon cannot and will not assist you with this. You have to sue them yourself.

We won a claim here in Texas. We sent an LTL of around 2500. Customer says it was delivered we had his business and his face as part of the delivery. We sent the original suit and the Customer agreed to pay us then tried to deny the charge on that transaction. We filed two suits and we won 5900 for the original dispute and 6500 for breech of contract. We did get a garnishment and suddenly after that he showed up to settle with us CASH for 6000 and we stopped collections and gave him a receipt for paid in full and I think we sent something to the court house as well but I don't handle that the legal department here does.

Return fraud is off charts has not been this much since covid and costs are hurting Amazon to cover so they are not following policy and pulling this crap! Watch out we have been pulling items and upping costs as we are not having it!
