Petition to change the star rating system

THE PROPOSAL:
"Change the rating system to only display the star rating once you hit 30 ratings/reviews." Currently shows with just 1 review, leaving listings open to manipulation or mis-information.
In the USA alone we are plagued with getting 1-star ASINs within days of listing a new product. It imediately destroys your listing and any hope for growth. We sell globally and the USA is the only place this happens almost without fail even though the same products don't receive these reviews in other parts of the world.
If we change the star rating to only show when you have 30 ratings, it will average out what's shown to the customer based on varied purchases. currently anyone can kill a product on arrival with a well placed 1 star review.

That is an interesting proposal you made around the star rating system. I understand the rationale, and I know it would be major news if Amazon decided to modify the rating system.
