Can't get a security notification on my phone
So I am trying to set up my account and when I try to add a deposit method it tells me
For your security, approve the notification sent to:
Mobile number
and it is my phone number and I have received many OTPs on it and it works fine but it is not working for the notification I don't know why.
and I have talked to many agents and they couldn't resolve it. they even asked me if my carrier was blocking short codes and I checked and it was not blocked it works fine.
what should I do now? please I need this resolved ASAP

if your phone number is with google voice then that is the reason why. Amazon refuses to send text messages to a google voice number now. I think square (the little block credit card reader that plugs into a phone) also refuses to send texts to GV now too. You will need to get a phone number with a different provider. Anveo works for me. The cheapest plan (pay per minute, penny per minute in usa) is like 53 cents per month if you don't actually use it and don't have outbound calling enabled (requires paying a couple bucks a month for 911 service), and will allow Amazon text messages in.
set up as many 2 factor as you are able in case they stop working. I think I have 2 phone numbers and 2 authenticator apps set up in amazon for 2 factor. so when google voice number stopped getting 2 factor texts for everyone, I just switched out GV for anveo.

I had the same issue. A friend helped me out. My phone number was entered with the required plus. But, I needed plus 1 number. As soon as I did plus1 and the number, no spaces, it went through.
