SSA (Shipping Setting Automation) and Veeqo destroyed my metrics
Hi all, I am having a serious problem with SSA and Veeqo. The problem has 2 sides:
1. When I ship packages using Veeqo, it sometimes pushes the shipping date 1-2 days ahead of the actual ship date.
2. Amazon assigns ship-by dates to orders using SSA-enabled shipping template THE SAME BUSINESS DAY even AFTER the local cut-off time of the ship-from location assigned to this shipping template.
Let me give you some examples:
This is my SSA-enable shipping template. The ship-from address is Miami, FL (UTC-4):

This is my general shipping settings: The DEFAULT ship-from address is Turkey (UTC+3) but it does not matter for the above SSA-enabled template because the ship-from address is overwritten to Miami anyways. The HANDLING time is 0-days:

The cut-off times for each courier is set as 2:00 PM local time (I suppose this is Miami, FL UTC-4). So when I receive an order assigned to this SSA template before 2:00 PM FL time I have to ship it the same day, if received after 2:00 PM, I need to ship it next business day before the end of the day:

WITH ALL THESE SETTING, please explain to me how come the following order (using the above SSA shipping template) is assigned a same-day ship-by date:

This order was received 30 May 6:41 PM PDT, meaning 9:41 PM local time (Miami, FL) which is WAY AFTER THE CUT-OFF TIME FOR THIS ORDER WHICH WAS 2:00 PM local time as set above. How come this order (and many others) are assigned to the same day shipping!
To make things even worse, when I created a shipping label using VEEQO (an Amazon company) BY SETTING THE SHIPPING DATE AS 30 MAY 2025 (the same day as the expected ship-by date as above), Veeqo pushes the shipping date to Amazon as 1 JUNE 2025 and I am unable to correct this!

As a result, this is what I end up with: Your seller-fulfilled offers are at risk of deactivation Your Late Shipment Rate is 9.57%; the target is 4%.
My Veeqo time settings and the computer time settings are also set to Fl, Miami.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Quick follow up on this: I have been reading other forum posts and it seems that I am not alone. Many sellers are experiencing same day shipment requirements for orders received after the cut-off times. I am alos puzzled about the following screenshot, there is no dashboard/interface whatsoever at my end of the sellercentral. What is this? It is called locations, perhaps this is something that has been rolling out slowly because I do not have access to this page:

Hello @Seller_ZczHqytoxS9Xv Have you filed a support case with Amazon and/or Veeqo directly about that issue, asking them to review your settings and the orders?
Did you check the SSA-related suggestions in the thread you referred to?
Order comes in at 12am Wednesday my time, Expected to be shipped SAME DAY? Wednesday?

Hello @KJ_Amazon, thanks for your response here. This is a user account for the original posting seller.
We escalated the matter with both Amazon (Case ID: 17836225901) and Veeqo. Amazon is still working on my case and Veeqo told me that they do not set the ship-by dates and I need to take this matter up with Amazon (so I did). On the other hand, Veeqo has escalated the case for pushing the wrong shipping dates to Amazon (just to remind you as per our OP, Veeqo pushed the shipping date as 1 June to Amazon despite the fact that we set the shipping date as 30 May, purchase the label on 30 May and shipped the product on 30 May).
I checked the thread you are referring to twice. No solution is provided to me there I am afraid. You said in that thread that SSA has its own settings in terms of carrier specific preferences and warehouse local time settings. These were all in place for me as follows but this happened anyways.
1. MY LOCAL TIME IS SET TO FL, USA (PDT +3), SSA ENABLED,
2. MY CUT OFF TIMES ARE SET TO 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME (MIAMI, FL, PDT+3)
3. THIS ORDER IS ASSIGNED TO ABOVE SSA-ENABLED TEMPLATE
ORDER ID: 112-1127696-0805048
ORDER RECEIVED IN PDT TIME: 30 MAY 6:41 PM PDT
ORDER RECEIVED IN MIAMI, FL LOCAL WAREHOUSE TIME (PDT+3): 9:41 PM PDT
ORDER CUT OFF TIME: 2:00 PM MIAMI, FL (PDT+3)
IS THIS ORDER RECEIVED AFTER LOCAL CUT-OFF TIME: YES!
EXPECTED SHIP BY DATE: 2 JUNE END OF DAY PDT (The next business day because we did not set weekend as shipping dates)
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR: SHIP BY 30 MAY 2025 PDT WHICH IS 31 MAY SATURDAY 03:00 AM MIAMI, FL LOCAL WAREHOUSE TIME
Amazon assigns ship by date to Saturday midnight which is neither a shipping day nor a cut off time originally set.
Isn't it something odd? I would really appreciate it if you can help me figure my way out of this

Thank you for those details @Seller_YgPPLgLYTiZ6h
I see that Case ID: 17836225901 is open and the team is continuing to review that order and the ship-by date.
Please check back when that case is resolved if you still need information.

Dear @KJ_Amazon, thanks for your message. While I am still waiting for an outcome from Case ID: 17836225901 , I would really appreciate if you can also look at Case ID: 17875116911. I have been selling on Amazon for over 5 years and I am not a rookie. You guys are having a HUGE GLITCH AT THE BACK-END IMPACTING SHIP BY DATE CALCULATION. I am pointing this out to you and none of the support staff seem to care. What an odd approach from a company which is obsessed with customer satisfaction. This is affecting our mutual customers and I really need admin help to get this resolved.
Please look below order and tell me how come this ship by date is correct and I am wrong:
Example Order ID: 113-4434697-2907425
Applicable Shipping Template: FREE TR-US
General Shipping Settings Time Zone: PDT +10, GMT +3
Purchase Date: Thu, Jun 5, 2025, 9:16 AM PDT
Shipping Service: Expedited (so no 0-day handling time cut-off times as applicable to standard shipping orders)
Local Time of Ship-from Address at the time of receiving order (PDT+10, GMT+3: Thu, Jun 5, 2025, 7:16 PM PDT)
Local Cut-Off Time: 2:00 PM (PDT +10, GMT +3)
Is this order received after cut-off time: YES
Default Handling Time for Expedited Shipping: 1-day
Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (WEEKDAYS)
EXPECTED SHIP-BY DATE: 9 JUNE, MONDAY
ACTUAL BEHAVIOUR: 6 JUNE, FRIDAY.
HOW COME THIS ORDER IS ASSIGNED TO THE SHIP-BY DATE OF NEXT BUSINESS DAY WHILE IT IS RECEIVED AFTER CIT-OFF TIME AND HAS 1-DAY HANDLING TIME.
To my understanding, Amazon is simply does not consider local time zones and seller-set handling times at all!
KJ_Amazon
@Seller_YgPPLgLYTiZ6h Thank you for your question about handling times on Amazon.
Let me clarify what one-day handling time means: When you set a one-day handling time for a SKU, you commit to shipping the item the next day after the customer places their order, regardless of when the order is received. For example, if a customer orders at 11 PM, the expectation is that you will ship the following day.
Your cut-off time is a factor for Same day (0-day handling) orders. If an order is placed prior to your order-cut off time, you need to ship it on the same day the order was received. If an order is placed after your order cut-off time, you have until the next business day to ship it.
This handling time behavior has been consistent since third-party selling began on Amazon, reflecting our commitment to providing customers with the best shopping experience and competitive delivery times across our marketplace.
We understand this can be challenging for some sellers. If you're finding it difficult to manage overnight orders, we recommend using the Order Handling Capacity feature. This tool allows you to set limits on the number of daily orders you can process, helping you better manage your shipping commitments while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Hello @KJ_Amazon, thanks for your response. I am afraid your response does not address Example Order ID: 113-4434697-2907425 which I mentioned earlier. This is because the principles you mentioned were not followed in Example Order ID: 113-4434697-2907425. Why is that? Can you please hava a look? Thank you.

I reviewed that order and the Ship-By date follows the information in Manage your handling time.
"If you set your default handling time to one-day, you will need to ship the product on the next business day after he order is received."
The order was received on June 5 and had a June 6 ship-by date.
