The new forum started today

Hi

What do you think

In my opinion the old fashioned’ pagination was much better than this endless scrolling!

Now if you want to see the latest comment on the topic you have to scroll through all the previous comments or have I missed the go to latest button?

It’s the biggest pile of pap I have seen in my life. Clearly Amazon don’t want sellers talking to each other. Only works for me in Chrome not IE and I hate Chrome. So it’ll be bye bye from me

#3

Don’t like it at all

#4

I think it looks kind of anemic. And I’m not keen on scrolling down through long threads, pages were easier. And what’s with the limit on likes? How do you know how many you have? The badges seem a bit pointless too, unless I’m missing something. I like the avatars though. I’ll probably get used to it but the old one worked fine.

Is this board in place of the old Eureka one?

#5

You can drag the little slider on the right to the bottom to scroll really quickly. I’m not a fan of the layout but I’m sure we’ll get used to it, does seem harder to track what threads you’ve seen and haven’t.

#6

SNAFU - just like Amazon

#7

Oh that is sad … and no more badges foryou then (;

#8

My heart bleeds just thinking about the forthcoming lack of badges. I will be bereft

No , the new layout has replaced the old Forums. We no longer have Aces either
We do get badges mind - lots of 'em. I wonder who dreamed those up?
I am not a fan of this new layout … too fiddly.

#10

I like it (runs to take cover)…

#11

I really liked this new design, its modern and user friendly - we just need to get used to it.

I actually think it is a massive improvement. Both design and feature wise.

As @AJAY said - ‘we just need to get used to it’.

I realised that, I just wondered if this particular board, Site Feedback, was a place where sellers could discuss issues they’re having with Amazon like the old Eureka board was meant to be.

#15

I think the badges idea likely came from the Girl Guide/Boy Scout system of badges being awarded as you complete each task…and that just about sums up what Amazon think of us…

I was never a fan of the previous points and buttons forum, so that’s about the only positive change, other than that, I’m just a little too old to join the boy scouts, been there, got the badges and grew up.

Ps: I’m off to play with my train set

Apparently this part of the forum is for

Discussion about this site, its organization, how it works, and how we can improve it. This is a cross marketplace category spanning all the marketplaces so you may find content here created by sellers in other marketplaces than you

So not really a Eureka replacement

#18

You can also edit even really old posts, so no more looking back after 20 mins,or even 2 years and realizing you made an error and not being able to do anything about it.

About the only improvements I can see are the new composition panel/preview pane and the removal of the ‘neg’ buttons.

Even though it’s mostly plain white, the screen is far too busy, with endless useless/pointless buttons and graphics that appear to be aimed at little kids.

The ‘suggestions’ thing at the bottom of the screen is likely to dredge up loads of dead and irrelevant topics.

Possibly the most annying change is the way the date/time of each post has been partially hidden, making it difficulat to tell at a glance how old the topic is…unless I’ve missed something obvious.

Also the ‘reply’ button for draft message is confusingly ambiguous…‘post’ would make more sense

Just to add I got a ‘gateway timed out’ error three times before I could post the above message.

New forum…new glitches.
